• Space: a typical wedding castle needs roughly 20ft × 20ft of flat ground, plus a couple of feet of clearance all round. Ask the company for the exact footprint.
• Surface: grass is ideal (staked anchorage). Hard standing or marquee floors need sandbag anchoring — tell the company in advance.
• Power: the blower needs a standard socket within ~30m, or a generator (most companies can supply one for £40–£80).
• Permission: confirm with your venue early. Most say yes but many require the hire company's insurance certificate first — a good operator emails it over the same day.
